We had two very successful programs in April. Our Passover food program with a discussion about different regional and family traditions, lunch and tastings on April 1, and our Book discussion regarding the Sabbath and relating to Senator Lieberman’s book was very interesting. The Annual Meeting was held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, April 29 in conjunction with the school’s BBQ. The following slate was elected: President - Rochelle Gerofsky and Julie Rochlin, Vice Pres. - Betsy Brody, Treasurer - Florence Lang, Rec. Sec’y - Ann Conley, Corr. Sec’y - Carol Rohde, Trustees - Naomi Berman and Terri Stein.
The Passover program included the creation of a Passover cook book which you can purchase for $2.00 at the gift shop at any time.
Due to increased costs the dues will go up to $36 effective July 1. Women are encouraged to pay next year’s dues prior to the installation luncheon on June 9. This year there are 2 good reasons to pay early: paid in advance members are eligible for a door prize at the luncheon and dues paid early will be accepted at this year’s rate of $30.
Sisterhood Sabbath will be Friday, June 8 followed by the annual installation lunch at Olive Garden. This year the installation will be conducted by a WRJ-SE District past President, Wendy Adamson, who will be our guest speaker. a second reservation form in in this bulletin.

Loose Change?
The Sisterhood of Temple Beth Shalom has a fundraiser to “Dress up the Social Hall” and make some improvements in the kitchen. The TBS Sisterhood Gift Shop sells Tzedakah containers for a nominal fee. Please buy a Tzedakah Box and keep it at home. It can be filled with loose change, emptied, turned in, and refilled again! These coins really add up. A Temple member gave us this idea when they gave us a donation of their Tzedakah Box...a bagful of coins worth $87.00. We loved the idea and members enlarged on it and so here we go! Sisterhood will even roll the coins for you. Any denomination, even that green paper stuff… WE’LL TAKE IT ALL !!! Let ’s see how much we can collect for TEMPLE decorating & refurbishing.
